All patients were prevented from developing erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastroduodenal zone using proton pomp inhibitors (intraoperatively and in the early postoperative period), their effectiveness was compared.

Results

According to the study, Ulsepan (pantoprazole) compared with omeprazole has a greater efficacy in regulating the pH of the stomach and preventing the occurrence of stress lesions of the mucous membrane of the upper gastrointestinal tract.
