Abstract
We have examined 32 patients aged 60 to 80 years, who have had acute ischemic cerebrovascular accident (AICVA) in carotid system and were hospitalized in angioneurology department of neurosurgery and neurology clinic of the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Southern Region of Ukraine, Odesa, from 2015 to 2016. Treatment with Medotilin 4.0 — 1,000 μg i.m. lasted for 30 days. To assess the mechanisms of Medotilin effect on the functional state of the central nervous system, patients with AICVA underwent: objective and detailed neurological examination; computer and magnetic resonance imaging of the brain; evaluation of the psycho-emotional state; study of memory; ultrasound and transcranial Doppler; electroencephalography. After treatment with Medotilin, there was marked an improvement of cerebral hemodynamics (CHD), increased levels of brain activity, expanded range of CHD regulation that gives reason to recommend the use of Medotilin in patients with ischemic stroke and Medotilin inclusion into the clinical protocols.
