A scientific review of domestic and foreign medical literature is presented, devoted to the analysis of the role of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) – an important essential factor in the nutrition of the cell membrane. The therapeutic effects of omega-3 PUFAs were analyzed. Of particular importance are omega-3 PUFAs in children, especially for the proper formation and normal functioning of the brain and nervous system, both in utero and from the first days of life; during periods of intensive growth and training-related loads. A wide range of therapeutic effects, almost universality of omega-3 PUFA drugs explains their effectiveness in various diseases, as well as in the “background” conditions. Therefore, the use of omega-3 PUFAs in the complex therapy of autonomic syndromes, autonomic dysfunction in children is an important corrector of disorders of cerebro-intestinal, cerebro-cardiac and other interactions. Promising in this direction is the drug Reytoil, which can be prescribed from the age of three – 2-3 basic courses per year, especially during periods of adaptive stress of the child.

Key words: children, omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, autonomic syndrome, Reytoil.
