At present, every tenth of the patients with glaucoma is blind all over the world. That is why the prevention and treatment of glaucoma is an important medical and social problem of the state and society. Modern ophthalmology has in its arsenal a large selection of laser and surgical methods of treatment, but these therapeutic measures are not always effective. The conservative method of glaucoma treatment is one of the most popular and least traumatic.

Conclusions

  1. The additional administration of Dorzamed made it possible to reduce ophthalmotonus in patients with POAG with elevated IOP by an average of 18.4%, which indicates its good hypotensive effect in combination with a p-adrenergic blocker (Normatin) during topical therapy.
  2. After two months of combined therapy with Dorzamed and Normatin, a slight increase in average visual acuity and improvement in MD and PSD of the Humphrey perimeter were noted, indicating the achievement of a stabilized form of glaucoma.
  3. Good local and general tolerability of Dorzamed in patients with POAG in combination with Normatin was noted.
