Traumatic keratitis remains the main reason for patients seeking help from an ophthalmologist. This is due to a significant number of the able-bodied population who do not adhere to safety regulations at work and at home, as well as the rules for the prevention of injuries to the organ of vision.

The purpose of this article was to study the effectiveness of ciprofloxacin and tobramycin in the treatment of traumatic corneal erosions. We examined 65 patients (65 eyes) aged 19 to 58 years who came to the eye department with post-traumatic keratitis of varying severity. I – the main group – 23 people (23 eyes) received traditional treatment and “Floximed”, II – the main group – 25 people (25 eyes) – traditional treatment and “Tobrimed”, and the control group – 17 people (17 eyes) – traditional treatment and “Levomycetin”. Before the start of treatment, all patients underwent sampling of material from the corneal infiltrate for bacteriological examination with the determination of sensitivity to antibiotics. In the course of treatment in all groups, there was an increase in visual acuity, corneal epithelialization. According to the results of the study, a reduction in the terms of regeneration of the cornea, the absence of side effects of the use of ciprofloxacin and tobramycin preparations in comparison with the preparation of chloramphenicol were revealed, which qualitatively improves the conditions of treatment and life of patients.
