Cholesterosis of gall bladder was diagnosted in 40 patients with type 2 diabetes with signs of metabolic syndrome. Treatment by ursodeoxycholic acid (orally daily before bedtime 10 mg/kg/day) during 14 days caused cholespasmolytic effect, restored function of Oddi’s and Lutkens’ sphincters, increased contractile ability of gall bladder. The purposed variant of therapy influenced the metabolic status in a positive way: it provided the restoration of albumin generating function of liver, caused antioxidant effect, improved the indexes of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism.
