Functional diarrhea is the type of functional bowel disorders presenting with loose or watery stool as conse- quences of intestinal transit dysregulation. The management of patients depending from presence of the alarm symptoms. Clinical and instrumental measurements aim to rule out of diarrhea secondary to organic disease. The good efficacy in the treatment of patients with functional diarrhea could have dietary interventions, loperamide, cholestyramine, probiotics and synbiotics.
