Hepatological risk in the treatment of overweight and obesity: possible ways of prevention

According to WHO experts, the prevalence of overweight and obesity in the global population has become epidemic.

The increase in the incidence of obesity among young people and children suggests that the situation will worsen. Unfortunately, in Ukraine there are no reliable scientific statistics on overweight and obese people. However, every practitioner will confirm that this problem is no less relevant for Ukraine than for any other country. Almost every day we communicate with people who are trying to “lose” extra pounds, we see advertisements for a large number of products designed to reduce body weight. If the attention of the population is focused on the problem of obesity, then mainly on its aesthetic side. And only in recent years have they begun to talk and write that obesity is a disease!
